EC Tashi visits Zanskar Sumdo Shingkula sector.
Kargil, July 09, 2024: Executive Councilor, ZDA, RDD, Cooperative and Information, LAHDC, Kargil, Er Punchok Tashi on Monday visited Zanskar Sumdo Shingkula sector.
He was accompanied with Councilor, Cha Constituency Stanzin Lakpa; SDM Zanskar, Romil Singh Donk; Tehsildar Zanskar, Mohd Hassan; SHO Zanskar Inspector Stanzin Gyaltsen and Engineers of ZDA, R&B and REW Zanskar.
The visit was aimed to assess the ground reality of the border issues which are not settled between UT Ladakh and HP Government till date.
Pertinently, on June 27, Lahoul Administration had also came up to Shingkula under the leadership of MLA L&S.
An amicable solution is needed to resolve the disputed issue so that people of both the districts live with peace and dignity. The matter shall be taken up with both the Governments.
Lambardar Kargyak also accompanied the distinguished officials. On the way back to Padum, developmental works being executed in Kargyak and surrounding areas were thoroughly checked.
The team also visited High School Thangsoo where he interacted with staff and students. The headmaster requested the EC to fill vacant post of teaching and non-teaching staff, besides infrastructure development at par with CBSE.
The villagers of Thangsoo raised their issues with regard to medical, drinking water, irrigation kanals, steel bridge and other basic facilities. They also submitted a memorandum of demands to the EC and assured to resolve all the issues on time.
