    Final ceremony of U14, U17, U19 Boys and Girls Interschool Tournament 2024 concludes at Zonal Hq-Taisuru.
    Kargil, June 16, 2024: The final ceremony of U14, U17, and U19 Boys and Girls Volleyball, Handball, Football and Athletics Interschool Tournament-2024 concluded today at Zonal Headquarter in Tai-Suru.
    This event marked the end of a thrilling and competitive series of matches that showcased exceptional talent and sportsmanship of young athletes from various schools across the region.
    The tournament, which commenced on 11th June 2024, saw enthusiastic participation from numerous schools. Over the past six days, 1844 young players and athletes from 25 schools competed in a variety of sports, including Volleyball, Handball, Football, and Athletics, demonstrating remarkable skill, teamwork, and dedication.
    The concluding ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including local dignitaries, education officials, sports personalities, and community leaders.
    Councilor Taisuru, Abdul Hadi who was chief guest applauded the efforts of the young athletes and emphasized the importance of sports in holistic education. He assured the deserved players for providing sports equipment to perform best. He conferred Rs 10,000 cash prize to the award and medal winners of the Inter-School tournament 2024.
    In his address, the Councilor said sports not only foster physical fitness but also instil values of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork.
    “The talent displayed by our young athletes over the past weeks is truly commendable. Such tournaments are crucial in nurturing the future champions of the region. Winning and losing does not matter in sports. Active involvement in sports activities is what matters.”
    I/c SHO Panikhar, Mohd Hadi presented Rs 1000 cash prize to the best performing athlete of the 10Km athletic event, Mohd Baqir from HSS Biama Purtilchey.
    The ZPEO Taisuru and the organizing committee thanked the Block Medical Officer, Taisuru and their medical team for deployment of doctors, male and female medical staff, first aid team and two ambulances during the conduct of the said event.
    The ZPEO expressed profound gratitude to the SHO Panikhar for deploying police vehicles and police personnel during the said event.
    In the concluding ceremony, the U17 Boys’ Volleyball Final Match was played between NPHS Taisuru and EGPHS Kargee in which NPHS Taisuru won the match by 02 sets.
    This was followed by the distribution of medals, trophies, and certificates to the winner and runner-up teams and outstanding athletes.
    The undersigned forward to hosting more such events in the future, continuing to nurture and celebrate the sporting talent of our youth.
