Full Dress rehearsal for 78th Independence Day held at Leh.
Leh, Aug 13, 2024 : The full-dress rehearsal parade took place ahead of the 78th Independence Day at Pologround Leh today on August 13. Deputy Commissioner, Leh Santosh Sukhadeve unfurled the Indian flag and presided over the parade.
The rehearsal ceremony consisted of marching contingents from the Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Ladakh Police(men/Women), IRP 25 Bn, Ladakh Police Commando, Ex-Serviceman, National Cadet Corps (NCC) Boys/ Girls, NCC Kargil (Boys), Lamdon Model Sr Sec School, Moravian Mission School Leh, GN National Public School, Mahabodhi Residential School, Mutahari Public School Baru Kargil, Ladakh Scout Regimental Center (LSRC) band and IRP 25 Battalion female band.
Ladakh Police’s Dog Squad also demonstrated a drill as part of the rehearsal. Further, Cultural performance was also presented from different schools from both Leh and Kargil. Traditional dance performance from Culture Academy Drass and Leh was also displayed during the rehearsal.
