GDC Kargil organizes seminar on financial literacy.
Kargil, Sept 04, 2024: Department of Commerce, Government Degree College (GDC) Kargil in collaboration with National Stock Exchange today organized a seminar on financial literacy.
The seminar was aimed to enhance the financial awareness of students and staff, focusing on key areas of investment and the role of regulatory bodies.
The seminar was anchored by Shabir Hussain, Assistant Professor Commerce Department who ensured the smooth flow of the event. The welcome speech was delivered by Tinless Chondol Assistant Professor Commerce setting an engaging tone for the proceedings.
The keynote address was delivered by Hakim Billal, an expert trainer from the National Stock Exchange. His insightful presentation covered critical topics such as the role of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in investor protection, an introduction to the capital market, and various avenues for investment, with a special focus on mutual funds. His session was highly informative, providing the participants with a deeper understanding of financial markets and investment strategies.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Jigmet Yangdool, Assistant Professor Commerce. Jigmet expressed gratitude to Billal for his valuable contribution and to all participants for their active engagement.
