    Good Governance Week Celebrated in Leh District .

    Leh, December 24, 2024: A District Level Workshop was held at the Conference Hall DC Office in Leh on December 23, 2024, to commemorate Good Governance Week. The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve IAS, as the Chief Guest.
    During the workshop, Heads of Departments presented their achievements and work undertaken during the Good Governance Week. This included presentations on various camps organized at the village, block, tehsil, sub-division, and district levels. Information was shared on services provided to the public and grievances addressed.
    Addressing the gathering, DC Leh emphasized the significance of Good Governance Week and the importance of consistently serving the public throughout the year. He stressed the need to deliver services directly to the people, eliminating the need for them to travel long distances. He also highlighted the importance of online services and announced that 4G connectivity will be extended to every village in the district by next year. Furthermore, DC Leh emphasized the importance of being grounded and humble public servants dedicated to serving the needs of the people.
    Good Governance Week, initiated by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, is celebrated nationwide to commemorate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
