Hon’ble Lt Governor, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) inaugurates renovated Karzoo Zing

Leh, Feb 04, 2024: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) inaugurated the renovated/improved Karzoo Zing.
Chief Engineer, PHE and I&FC informed about the project, its cost, usage of stones and cement; the construction of inlet and outlet channels in the pond so that the water could be used for irrigation purposes. The HLG directed the concerned department to ensure the proper maintenance of the pond.
Advisor to HLG, Dr Pawan Kotwal, IAS; Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh, Shri Ghulam Mehdi; Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shri Santosh Sukhadeve, IAS; Chief Engineer, PHE and I&FC, Ladakh, Shri Maqbool Hussain and other officials were present on the occasion.
The HLG also visited the old Raj Niwas at Karzoo, where he inspected the ongoing work of the old Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat.
