    Independence Day celebrated at Kargil Campus University of Ladakh

    KARGIL, AUGUST 15, 2022:
    Kargil Campus University of Ladakh today celebrated the 756th year of Independence with great patriotic fervour and zeal.
    The Rector of Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh Kaneez Fatima accompanied by staff members, students, unfurled the tricolour followed by the National Anthem.
    While speaking on the occasion, she congratulated the nation in general and people of Kargil in particular on the 76th Independence Day.
    She also congratulated staff and students for celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and a series of events organized under the banner of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
    Fatima urged faculty members and students to realize, understand, cherish hard-earned freedom of the country and urged them to work towards a progressive nation.
    She also stressed upon the faculty members to put efforts for the effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP-22) at the institute.
    She urged students to avail the benefits of NEP-22 to gain academic knowledge and professional skills, in terms of quality education, employability etc.
    Fatima emphasized that the development of nation is based on an inclusive approach where women’s participation is much needed for the progress and development of the nation.
    She emphasized on the need to evolve a society free of discrimination against women and establish equal society irrespective of any discrimination on the basis of religion, caste, colour and creed.
    Fatima further urged the learned and intellectual community to strive for the same to ensure enduring freedom for people of the nation.
    “We should pledge with ourselves, on this auspicious occasion, to work for excellence with honesty and integrity. The learned community should work towards the goals of inculcating values of harmony among students,” she said.
    Her Independence Day speech was full of patriotism, encouragement and enlightenment for the nation and learned community in particular. All staff members and students expressed gratitude and enthusiasm while participating in the Independence Day celebration.
