Joint Secretary/Financial Advisor MOHUA visit Drass as part of Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain campaign.

Kargil, June 11, 2023: Joint Secretary and Financial Advisor Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) Govt. of India, Sanjay Kumar today started his tour to Kargil District and visited Drass as part of “Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain” (JSA:CTR) campaign being observed from June 11 to 14.
He was accompanied by Superintending Engineer (SE), PHE, I&FC, Maqbool Hussain, ACD Ghulam Mohammad, DFO Kargil Mohammad Ali, Executive Engineer, I&FC, DPO Kargil, Padma Angmo, Assistant Director, Soil Conservation Kargil and BDO Drass.
On his first day visit, the Joint Secretary and Financial Advisor MOHUA paid a technical visit to the water reservoir under RD&PR Department at Muradbagh, Drass.
Ministry of Jal Shakti is taking up the nationwide campaign focusing on saving and conserving rainwater with the theme “Source sustainability for drinking water” from 04 March 2023 to 30 November 2023 in the pre-monsoon and monsoon periods of 2023, covering both urban and rural areas of all the districts in the country.
In this year the key focus of JSA:CTR-2023 is on ensuring source sustainability in 150 water stressed district of the country, identified by Jal Jeevan Mission.
