Kargil, November-24-2023:

Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today chaired an interactive session with team members of Rzamba NGO at the conference hall council secretariat.
During the session the team members informed the CEC Kargil about the various activities related Rzamba’s various ongoing projects.
Further the CEC was informed shedding about ongoing efforts and exploring potential avenues for collaboration with the government to amplify the impact of their initiative.
They further added that a key highlight of Rzamba’s agenda for the upcoming year is the organization of Winter Community Classes – ‘Khangrtsa Yontan’ (Learning at Doorstep). This innovative initiative aims to bring education directly to the doorsteps of children, ensuring accessibility even in the challenging winter months.
During the meeting, Rzamba Trust formally requested the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ladakh Hill Development Council (LAHDC). This strategic collaboration seeks to leverage governmental support to enhance the effectiveness of Rzamba’s educational programs.
The CEC said in this regard a separate meeting would be held with the Education department and DIET Kargil to chart out the ways for it.
Furthermore, Rzamba Trust appealed for logistical support from LAHDC for a training workshop of facilitators for the Winter Community Classes this workshop is designed to equip 22 learning facilitators with the necessary tools and skills to make the Winter Community Classes a resounding success.
CEC Kargil appreciated the efforts of Rzamba and their efforts in enhancing the quality education level of the government schools of the district. He advised them to put their efforts in exploring rural areas of the district so that the students at the peripheries can also have an equal platform to excel in their studies.
