    Leh, July 15: An interaction was convened with Prime Minister Sikyong Penpa Tsering (Tibetan Exile Prime Minister ) focusing on critical issues concerning the Tibetan community in the chamber hall of the H’CEC, today.
    During the session, the CEC reiterated its steadfast commitment to ensuring the welfare of the Tibetan community.
    Key developmental initiatives such as the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNEGRA), and Sustainable Development Programme (SDP) and other Centrally Sponsored Schemes of Government of India were thoroughly discussed.
    CECTashi Gyalson pledged robust infrastructure support for the Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV), emphasizing its critical role as a cornerstone institution for Tibetan youth and the local populace alike. Additionally, it was informed that council will explore a significant proposal to formalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between TCV schools and the Council.This collaborative effort aims to leverage the exemplary status of TCV schools, endorsed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, to elevate educational standards and opportunities, for students attending these institutions.
    Furthermore, the promotion of medicinal plant cultivation was also a key topic of discussion. CEC assured Mentse khang of its full support and proposed collaboration with the Sowa Rigpa institute in this regard.
    CEC pledged its continued support to uplift Tibetan communities, highlighting its dedication to enhancing living standards and fostering sustainable development.
