    LRLM Kargil organizes pledge ceremony at Lotchum Block .

    Kargil, Dec 14: Ladakh Rural Livelihood Mission, Kargil today organized a pledge-taking activity in collaboration with the Women and Child Development Department, Special Cell for Women, Education Department, PRI Members and ICDS Department.
    As an effort to combat gender-based violence and promote gender equality, the Ladakh Rural Livelihood Mission has launched the Nayi Chetna 2.0 National Campaign against gender based violence in collaboration with various government departments.
    LRLM Kargil orchestrated a pledge-taking initiative at Lotchum Block, in collaboration with ICDS, the Women’s Special Cell, and High School Lochum. The event witnessed active participation from various entities, including Government High School Lotchum, Self-Help Group (SHG) members from Lotchum Block, BDO Lotchum Dr. Mehdi Khan and his staff, Hasina Banoo, social worker from Women’s Special Cell, Nawaz from ICDS, accompanied by his team.
    Additionally, notable individuals present included key personnel from LRLM Kargil, namely Abhishek Kumar (District Mission Manager Kargil) and Raziya Batool (Block Programme Manager, Lotchum Block).
    The campaign, spanning across Kargil district, brings together key stakeholders such as the Women and Child Development, District Legal Service Authority, Special Cell for Women, National Health Mission, and Higher Education Department.
    It was organized in different blocks of Kargil district and involving multiple departments, the Gender Sensitization activities aim to address deep-rooted gender disparities and empower women across the nation. The concerted efforts of these departments seek to create awareness, promote inclusivity, and foster a society that is free from gender-based violence.
    Nayi Chetna 2.0 National Campaign against gender based violence stands as a beacon of hope for positive change, inspiring communities to come together and actively participate in creating a more equitable and just society.
