MP Ladakh raises important issues in the Parliament
Leh, 20 Dec: The Member of Parliament (MP) Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal raised questions about the demands of the Aryan Tribal Community and the government response to the Wildlife poaching cases in Ladakh during the ongoing winter session of the Parliament.
MP Ladakh enquired about the demands raised by the Aryan Tribal Community to the Minister of Tribal Affairs, for bringing the Aryan valley under one administrative unit, forming a separate subdivision.
He also raised the demand of the Aryan Community for a reserved seat of Councillor in Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC)and an official mechanism to preserve and promote the important cultural identity of Dard Aryan including language and customs.
MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal also enquired about the poaching incidents of endangered and rare wildlife in the twin districts of Ladakh. He sought a response from the government about any reports of wildlife crimes and wildlife trades in UT Ladakh. And the action that the government is taking against the culprits in this regard.
