NITI Aayog team launches Sampoornata Abhiyan in Karsha Block of Zanskar.
Kargil, July 16, 2024: A team of NITI Aayog arrived in Zanskar on 15th July, 2024 for launch of Sampoornata Abhiyan in Karsha Block of Zanskar Sub Division.
The team was welcomed by the administration headed by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Zanskar, Romil Singh Donk and Block Development Officer (Nodal Officer of ABP), Tsewang Rigzin along with ABP fellow of Karsha Block at Zangla Village.
The 1st day of their visit ended after visiting various monument sites of Zanskar. The team comprised Programme Director, Major General K Narayana AVSM, SM (Retd), and Young Professional, State Nodal for Ladakh, Dr. Darpajit Sengupta.
Today (July16) the Sampoornata Abhiyan was officially launched by Programme Director Major General K Narayana AVSM, SM (Retd) & Young Professional, State Nodal for Ladakh, Dr. Darpajit Sengupta in presence of Executive Councilor, RDD, PRI, ZDA Forest, Wildlife and Information, LAHDC, Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi; SDM Zanskar, Romil Singh Donk; ACD Kargil, Padma Angmo; Padma Shree awardee Chultrim Chosjor; Nodal Officer (ABP) Tsewang Rigzin and other Sub Divisional Officers.
Various stalls were set up by departments and self-help groups, which were showcased during the event. Additionally, different cultural programs were presented by self-help groups and school children.
While welcoming the guest, SDM Zanskar highlighted the achievements of the administration of Sub Division Zanskar in different parameters in the Block and assured target saturation of six indicators by end of September this year.
EC Er. Punchok Tashi also welcomed the teams on behalf of the people of Zanskar as well as LAHDC, Kargil. He also raised the issue of Zanskar in-front of the visiting team and requested to take up the issues of Zanskar with the Government of India for early redressal.
Further, the NITI Aayog team talked about the aim and motives of different parameters and the need to ensure that the indicators are covered at the earliest.
Padma Angmo, PO Wages and Employment (ACD) RDD/PRI Kargil, presented vote of thanks to the visitors and participants for setting up stalls, presenting cultural programs, and arranging the event.
