Paragliding trial held successfully in Suru Valley.
Kargil, September 26, 2024: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, along with Councilor Parkachik and Assistant Director Tourism Kargil, today witnessed the successful paragliding trial in Suru Valley.
The much anticipated paragliding activity in Suru Valley took a significant step forward as the trail run was successful. The trail marked a significant milestone for the valley known for its stunning landscapes, which is soon to become a hub for adventure tourism.
The paragliding flights, conducted under professional supervision, were deemed successful, with officials closely monitoring safety measures and overall preparedness at the venue.
Councilor Parkachik expressed enthusiasm for the project saying that this is an exciting development for the region. He said paragliding will attract both adventure seekers and tourists and boost local business and showcase the beauty of the valley to the world.
The Deputy Commissioner and AD Tourism Rehmatullah Bhat echoed the sentiment emphasising the importance of safety and quality standards
“We are fully committed to ensuring that all aspects of this project meet the highest standards both in terms of safety and visitors’ experiences,” the DC said, adding that today’s trial is a promising indicator of what is to come.
