SDM Dorjay reviews flood restoration works in Zanskar

KARGIL, AUGUST 10, 2021: Area Development Officer /SDM Zanskar Sonam Dorjay today convened a meeting of the officers and engineers of Public Works Department (PWD) and Rural Development Department (RDD) to review the flood restoration works in the sub division.
During the course of the meeting, Executive Engineer PWD Zanskar and BDO Zanskar informed that the restoration works on the link roads and footpaths of Chomo Gompa Zangla, Purnay to Phuktal, Cha to Shaday and Tungri to Atting have been completed.
Moreover, the irrigation canals of Rantaksha, Zangla, Ubarak, Pishu, Ruk Ruk and Salapi have also been temporarily restored besides the water supply schemes Ubrak to Padum town, Salapi, Stara, Gyapak, Abran, Akshow, Gangyab, Kuru and Kargaik have already been restored, adding that with the restoration of Kushul Nallah the vehicular movement to Kargil is going on smoothly.
