SDM Sankoo chairs review meeting regarding restoration of essential services, snow clearance of NH-301, link roads.
Kargil, Dec 28, 2024: Following the meeting via VC conducted by Deputy Commissioner Kargil regarding the status of measures aftermath of the snowfall, a subsequent meeting was convened by SDM Sankoo, Waseem Ramzan, in which all the concerned departments and agencies participated.
In the meeting, the chair was informed by all the concerned departments regarding the restoration of link roads, NH301, and other essential services with respect to their departments and agencies following snowfall.
The SDM urged all participants to remain extra vigilant and proactive during snowfall and to keep all inner routes, including NH301, open to ensure the availability of essential services to the public in order to avoid unnecessary inconvenience.
Furthermore, the chair emphasized to the concerned agencies and relevant departments the importance of spreading dust on slippery stretches of roads during winter on NH301 and other link roads to prevent any sort of untoward incident.
Additionally, the SDM has instructed all concerned stakeholders not to leave the station and keep updating the status of snow clearance and other services to be restored following the snowfall.
The SDM emphasized the importance of close coordination and teamwork among the concerned departments and agencies to address public grievances effectively and swiftly.
