SDM Zanskar reviews preparedness ahead of visit of Dalai Lama, Palga Rinpoche

KARGIL, AUGUST 03, 2022:

SDM Zanskar, Sonam Dorjay along with Block Development Officer, Station House Officer, Exen ZDA, AEE and JE’s today inspected the sites of Photang, Eidgah and Stakringmo Gonpa to review the pace and progress of works being carried out in connection with visit of His Holiness Dalai Lama on August 11 and His Eminence Palga Rinpoche on August 04 to Stakringmo Gonpa.

His Eminence Choskong Palga Rinpoche will deliver a sermon to the devotees at Stakringmo Gonpa on August 05 and 06.

President Zanskar Buddhist Association informed the SDM that all renovation/restoration works will be completed on stipulated time and will ensure all arrangements before the arrival of HH Dalai Lama.

SDM Zanskar directed the PHE Department to provide drinking water through tanker for devotees at Stakringmo Gonpa and Photang during the sermon.
