Secretary Padma Angmo inspects functioning of ICDS centres at Zanskar Sub Division

KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 30, 2021: On the 1st day of her three day visit to Kargil District, Secretary Social/Tribal Welfare, Higher/Technical Education, Skill Development, Information & Public Relations Ladakh Padma Angmo inspected the functioning of ICDS centres at Zanskar Sub Division here today.
In charge Sub Divisional Magistrate Zanskar Tsering Nurboo, In charge Principal Government Model Degree College Zanskar, In charge Child Development Project Officer besides other concerned officers accompanied the Secretary during the visit.
Secretary Padma inspected various Anganwadi centres and enquired abour the status of Severely Acutely Malnourished (SAM), Moderately Acutely Malnourished (MAM) and Poshan Vatika cases.
She directed the Child Development Project Officer and Supervisors to maintain proper data of all Anganwadi Centers, ensure proper updation of data within one month and submit the same to her office with photographs of all centers.
The Secretary also directed the Child Development Project Officer that the centers running in private houses should be shifted to nearest school buildings.
