Sub-Division Nyoma celebrates Iconic Week

Leh, Oct 29: Sub-Division Nyoma celebrated the ‘Iconic Week’ with full fervour today at Government Middle School, Nyoma as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration. Councillor Nyoma, Ishey Spalzang was the chief guest for the occasion.
The event started with the National anthem followed by different cultural performances by the Cultural Academy Department, Leh. Artists from villages Nyoma, Mudh, Tsaga and Chumathang performed during the occasion.
Several stalls were installed by different departments highlighting their work. It included stalls displaying pashmina products and machines by Sheep Husbandry, issuance of the resident certificate, yak wool product by Animal Husbandry, sea-buckthorn product by Forest, schemes of J&K Bank, awareness on Ayushman Bharat, registration program by Employment and Labour, nutrition display by ICDS and awareness program by Cooperative department.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Nyoma, Jigmet Angchuk; Councillor Kungyam, Thinles Nurboo; Chairman, Block Development Council, Rong, Jigmet Yountan; Deputy Director Employment, Delex Namgyal; Officer Commanding, 124 RCC; Sarpanch Nyoma; President, Ladakh Buddhist Association, Nyoma; concerned officers and officials of Sub-Division Nyoma were present during the occasion.
