    Leh, Feb 13, 2024: The 12th Tranche ‘Rozgar Mela’ was organised in the Kumbha Hall of the 24th Battalion Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in Choglamsar, Leh. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare of the Government of India, Kailash Choudhary, as the guest of honor. Accompanying him was the Member of Parliament for Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal.
    The Rozgar Mela, spanning 47 centers across the country, saw the distribution of over one lakh appointment letters to selected candidates for various governmental sectors. Among these, the 24th Battalion ITBP in Leh distributed appointment letters to 26 newly appointed personnel from the Union Territory of Ladakh.
    The event saw the presence of senior officials from ITBP, including Clay Khongsai, IPS, Inspector General, Northwest Frontier Ladakh, Ashok Kumar Negi, DIG, and other senior ITBP officials, alongside officers from the Union Territory of Ladakh including Chief Agriculture Officer, Leh, Thinles Dawa, Deputy Director Planning, UT Ladakh, Tsering Angdus, and Headquarter Assistant, Nilza Angmo.
    Commandant of the 24th Battalion ITBP, Shashi Chandra Jha, expressed delight and pride in organizing the Rozgar Mela, acknowledging its potential to create employment opportunities and foster youth participation in the nation’s development.
    MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, emphasized ITBP’s significant role in national service, particularly along the Indo-China border, expressing gratitude for the employment opportunities extended to the region’s youth.
    Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, Kailash Choudhary, reiterated the Government of India’s commitment to generating employment for the youth and emphasized the importance of their contribution to nation-building. He underscored the transparent recruitment process, free from corruption.
    The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, remotely initiated the appointment process for over one lakh personnel and virtually addressed the newly appointed individuals. The event culminated with the distribution of appointment letters by the chief guest to the deserving candidates.
