Three-day horse riding training program for selected students commences at Drass.
Kargil, August 18, 2024: On the direction of Chairman/CEC LAHDC Kargil, Department of Youth Services & Sports Kargil, Education Department Kargil and Polo Promotion Committee Drass launched a three-day horse riding training program for selected female students at Polo Ground Drass.
The selection trials were held on August 12, 2024, at Sultan Cho Sports Stadium Kargil, in the presence of the Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon.
During the three-day training camp, the students will learn essential horse riding skills, including horse control, team coordination, polo control with a stick, and attacking techniques (Dafog).
Upon completing the training, the trainees will be sent to the Hon’ble President House in New Delhi. This program provides a unique opportunity for young female horse riders to receive professional training and excel in this prestigious sport.
