Training workshop on leather goods begins in Ladakh

Leh, July 24: The Industries and Commerce Department along with Rural Development Department, UT Ladakh organizes 30 days of Skill Development training on Leather and allied products in Handicraft and Handloom both in Leh and Kargil.

A total of 50 members, 25 each in Leh & Kargil under NRLM have registered themselves for the training.

A team of experts from CSIR-CLRI, Chennai will provide training to these 50 trainees. The training was inaugurated by Saugat Biswas, Secretary, I&C, RDD UT Ladakh.

In Leh district, the training is being held at Chuchot Shamma Community Hall and in the Kargil district, it is being held at Poyan NRLM Tailoring Centre.
