UT Ladakh sanctions formation of Ladakh Skill Development Mission

Leh, May 22: The UT Administration sanctioned the constitution of “Ladakh Skill Development Mission (LSDM)”. The LSDM will be a two-tier structure comprising of the Governing Council & Executive Committee. The Advisor to the LG Ladakh is the chairperson of the Governing Council, which will be the apex decision-making body. Secretary, Technical Education and Skill Development Department, is designated as the Mission Director of the LSDM.

The mission will formulate and steer the skill development programmes under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and various other skill development programmes of Ministries. LSDM aims to bring necessary synergy, oversight and effective coordination in implementing skill development schemes across the departments in UT Ladakh.
