Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp by Health Dept Nyoma marks success in rural healthcare.

Leh, Nov 27, 2023: The Health Department Nyoma as a part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, conducted a medical camp at Samad Rokchan on November 27.
The camp aimed to provide essential health services to the rural population, bringing medical facilities closer to those who need them the most.
The camp witnessed a total of 25 individuals availing the General OPD services. Hypertension screening was conducted for 22 individuals, with 4 testing positive. Diabetic screening was performed for 22 patients, and none tested positive. Similarly, a total of 25 patients were screened for oral cancer, contributing to early detection efforts. Screening for anemia was conducted for 25 patients.
Additionally, the camp offered traditional medicine services (Amchi OPD), to 15 patients seeking consultation.
Besides, tuberculosis screening was carried out for 10 individuals, and their samples were collected and sent to PHC Nyoma for further analysis and management.
