    Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp held at Council Model High School Gongma Kargil.

    Kargil, Dec 19: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (Urban) camp was held today at Council Model High School, Gongma Kargil for Ward No.6 & Ward No.7.
    Administrator, Municipal Committee, Kargil/Joint Director, Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho, Councillor Town, LAHDC, Kargil, Haji Abbass Adulpa, Executive Officer, MC, Kargil, Shafqat Ali Khan, other officers and officials from various departments and a large number of participants were present on the occasion.
    Administrator MC, Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho praised MC Kargil for successfully conducting the Viksit Sankalp Yatra camp. He underscored the importance of the Bharat Sankalp Yatra, facilitating direct access to Government schemes for beneficiaries. Kacho emphasized that these initiatives are crafted for the benefit of the common people, underscoring the pivotal role of public awareness in ensuring their effective implementation.
    While urging that the saturation of welfare schemes be ensured, he underscored the vital role of media in disseminating awareness about Government schemes.
    Councillor Haji Abass Adulpa encouraged residents to capitalize on camp benefits. He commended the active participation of inhabitants of Wards No. 6 and 7 appreciated their keen interest in both the stalls and Government schemes. He stressed upon the need to continue with community engagement to ensure maximum utilization of available resources. While pointing out that today’s camp is the last one in his Constituency, he expressed gratitude to all the participating departments.
    Different departments including FCS&CA, ICDS, Social Welfare, J&K Bank, Health Department, Special Cell for Women, etc. had put up their stalls displaying products, equipment and services for public awareness. The departments enlightened participants about centrally sponsored schemes.
    On-the-spot services were given including the generation of 20 Ayushman and 14 ABHA Cards. Besides that, screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) was done. 16 people were screened for hypertension and 14 for diabetes.
    During the event, cheques were distributed to the beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U).
