    Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp held at halqa Panchayat Thiksey (B).

    Leh, Dec 16, 2023: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp unfolded at Halqa Panchayat Thiksey (B) today on December 16. The event commenced with a grand welcome for the Information, Education, and Communication (ICE) Van, followed by a special video recording message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
    Stanzin Chosphel, Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh was the chief guest, articulated the Yatra’s objective—saturating schemes in villages for the welfare of the people. Emphasizing the importance of schemes, he urged citizens to avail themselves of benefits, notably highlighting the Ayushman Bharat Golden Card and health insurance.
    Sonam Nurboo, Additional District Development Commissioner, Leh shared insights on expanding the outreach efforts of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. He encouraged direct engagement with stalls and revealed that 55 panchayats in Leh District had already been covered.
    BDC Chairperson, Thiksay Tsewang Paldan also graced the event.
    Tsering Wangchuk, Nodal Officer, BDO Thiksay shed light on centrally sponsored schemes, advocating for on-spot benefits. He underlined the government’s ambitious goal of covering 2 lakh panchayats nationwide, aspiring to transform India into a developed nation by 2047.
    Government officials from various departments, including Horticulture, Social and Welfare, and Banks, presented their schemes. Participants united in taking the Viksit Bharat Sankalp pledge.
    The event featured a cultural program presented by students from Government High School Thiksay and the Women’s Association. Noteworthy recognitions included the ODF+ certificate awarded to Nambardar Thiksay and an Abhinandan Patra under the PHE Department. The Education Department contributed by providing a Digital Board to the Principal of High School Thiksay.
    Additionally, departments such as Sheep Husbandry, Horticulture, Social and Welfare, Animal Husbandry, and Ladakh Rural Livelihood Mission offered on-the-spot services to villagers.
    The event witnessed the presence of Block Development Council member Tsewang Paldan, officers, officials from various departments, Goba, Sarpanch, and Panch. It marked a collective effort towards holistic development in the region.
