Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp held at Shakar, Yokma Kharboo Panchayats.
Kargil, Dec 06: As part of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) and the Prime Minister’s scheduled interaction with beneficiaries of VBSY, a program was organized today at Chiktan and Yokma Kharboo Panchayats, in Block Shakar Chiktan.
Sarpanches, Panches, officials from diverse departments, including Agriculture, RD&PRD, Health, Handloom, Fisheries, PHE, ICDS, Sheep and Animal Husbandry, NRLM along with representatives from various other line departments, actively participated in the event.
During the event, the officers interacted and reached out to the citizens eligible under various welfare schemes, disseminating information and fostering awareness about the government-sponsored public-centric schemes.
Through a series of engaging interactions and informative sessions, the initiative has reached the grassroots, empowering local communities with knowledge and resources essential for their growth.
Experts from different departments and institutions including agriculture, ICDS, health, NRLM, PHE, Handloom etc. held interactive sessions with the locals wherein they were informed about the procedures to avail these welfare schemes.
During the program, officials of the Health Department briefed the general public about the goal of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and underlined its mission. They were also briefed about healthcare schemes. The camp witnessed huge participation of the people.
The IEC Van, a mobile hub of information, is playing an important role in creating awareness regarding various centrally sponsored schemes.
The IEC Van is emerging as a dynamic tool for disseminating essential information on health, education, skill development, and government schemes directly to the citizens.
The Yatra is designed to educate and empower citizens about the government’s schemes. Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 15 in Khunti, Jharkhand, the campaign aims to create awareness and foster engagement across the country.
The Yatra is taking various plans and facilities of the government to those people who have been neglected so far, who don’t even have information about them. Even if they have information, they don’t know how to access them.
