World Tourism Day celebrated in Kargil

KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 27, 2021: World Tourism Day was celebrated at Kargil today under the theme for the year 2021 “Tourism for Inclusive Growth”.
In this connection, Department of Tourism Kargil along with the All Kargil Travel Trade Association (AKTTA) Kargil organized a function at border village Hunderman which was aimed to spread awareness among the school students about the importance of tourism and tourism potential sites for local economy and tourism for inclusive growth.
Assistant Director Tourism Aga Syed Toha, prominent scholar and cultural activist Ajaz Hussain Munshi, known tour operator Muhammad Hamza, members of AKTTA Kargil, other concerned officers and officials, teachers and students present were present on the occasion.
Yet another objective of celebrating World Tourism Day in the district this year was to spread awareness that tourism should not be bounded by borders.
