Kargil, November 19, 2024: The Zila Sainik Welfare Office Kargil successfully organized a two-day training workshop for Veer Naris, widows, and ex-servicemen from the Kargil region at Syed Mehdi Memorial Hall (Auditorium Hall).
The workshop held on 18th and 19th November 2024 aimed at enhancing awareness and understanding of the application and documentation procedures for various welfare schemes of Centre Govt. and UT of Ladakh.
Captain (IN) AK Pawar, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, addressed the participants and emphasized the importance of utilizing the available welfare schemes to secure the well-being and benefits for veterans and their families.
Expressing his gratitude for their participation, ZSWO acknowledged the sacrifices made by the ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, and widows. He encouraged them to take full advantage of the opportunities provided through these welfare initiatives. ZSWO also apprised the participants of the status of construction of ZSW Office cum Sainik Sarai.
The training session covered key topics such as the process of applying for benefits, understanding the required documentation, and the support available under various government schemes for ex-servicemen and their families.
The initiative is part of the Zila Sainik Welfare Offices ongoing efforts to empower the veteran community and ensure they receive the maximum benefits to which they are entitled.
A team from SPARSH also joined the Training Workshop on 19.11.2024 to Educate Ex-Servicemen and Widow Pensioners on SPARSH (System for Pension Administration Raksha). The team also addressed pension-related grievances ensuring a smoother and more efficient process for pensioners.
The Zila Sainik Welfare Office Kargil remains committed to supporting the veterans and their families and will continue to organize such informative sessions at regular intervals to ensure that they are well-informed about their rights and entitlements.
