03 Day Entrepreneurship Awareness Program kicks off at ITI Leh.
Leh, July 2, 2025: As part of a focused initiative to promote self-reliance and entrepreneurial thinking among the youth of Ladakh, Enterprising Ladakh—the flagship program of the Department of Higher Education, UT Ladakh launched a three-day Entrepreneurship Awareness Program (EAP) at ITI Leh, scheduled from July 2 to 4, 2025.
The program aims to empower youth and women through innovation, skill development, and enterprise creation. It is being implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, with a vision to develop a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem tailored to Ladakh’s unique socio-economic landscape.
Over the course of three days, participants are being introduced to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including ideation, business planning, and financial literacy. The sessions are being led by experienced mentors, successful local entrepreneurs, and subject matter experts, offering participants valuable exposure and inspiration to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.
On Day 1, resource persons from EDII Ahmedaba Mr. Abhishake Nandan and Ms. Fariha Fatima—along with local entrepreneur and founder of Ladakh Basket, Mr. Stanzin Jordan, conducted interactive sessions and hands-on training.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 80 students, reflecting a growing interest in entrepreneurship as a promising and empowering career option among the youth of Ladakh.
