    1 death; 198 new positive cases report in UT Ladakh; 131 patients cured and discharged

    Leh, Apr 23: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh last night, a total of 198 new positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received yesterday. Out of the total positive reports, 183 reports were received by CMO Leh and 15 positive sample reports were received by CMO Kargil.
    With the death report of one more patient from Covid-19 reported by CMO Leh yesterday, the total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has reached 135; 91 in Leh and 44 in Kargil.
    The bulletin further details that UT Ladakh has discharged 131 patients yesterday. All the patients were discharged by CMO Leh. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has surged up to 2041; 1939 in Leh district and 102 in Kargil district.
    The bulletin further informs that 1300 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 113 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post on Wednesday and 54 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at screening point Upshi on Wednesday.
