    13 BN NDRF conducts Day 2 of Disaster Management Camp in Nyoma.
    Nyoma, 23 September, 2025: On the second day of its Disaster Management Camp, the 13th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (13 BN NDRF) in collaboration with SDM Nyoma ,carried out a two-phase programme across Nyoma subdivision to further strengthen community resilience and life-saving skills.
    The first phase was held at the Government Higher Secondary School, Nyoma, where SDM Nyoma, Kacho Asgar Ali ,Principal,students, teachers and school staff participated. The programme emphasised safe assembly procedures, classroom-level actions during earthquakes ,floods and fire disaster.
    The second phase took place at the Community Hall where large number of villagers were participated.This community session provided practical, hands-on demonstrations tailored to rural needs and local hazards.
    Key topics and demonstrations
    • Earthquake safety measures and protective actions.
    • Flood response: safe evacuation routes, use of lifejackets/throw-bags, and post-flood hygiene.
    • Basic first aid and CPR for cardiac and trauma emergencies.
    • Safe handling of LPG cylinders, detection of leaks and emergency shutdown procedures.
    • Correct use of portable fire extinguishers, small-scale fire response and fire prevention measures.
    • Community roles in early warning, evacuation coordination and relief reporting.
    The training combined short classroom briefings with live demonstrations so that attendees — students, teachers, villagers could practise and retain essential skills. Participants expressed appreciation for the practical emphasis and committed to acting as local focal points for preparedness.
