An amount of ₹2,000 was transferred to each eligible farmer’s bank account under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, covering over 9.7 crore beneficiaries nationwide and totaling ₹20,500 crore. The PM-KISAN scheme provides ₹6,000 per year to small and marginal farmers in three equal instalments, playing a crucial role in improving their livelihoods since its inception in 2019.

He emphasized that direct financial support of ₹6,000 annually under the scheme has played a critical role in providing relief to small and marginal farmers.
The EC also concern that number of farmers in the region have abandoned agricultural practices, leaving fields uncultivated due to lack of awareness or migration to other sectors. He urged the Agriculture Department to intensify awareness campaigns in rural areas, especially among the remote populations, to ensure maximum saturation and inclusion under the scheme.
He further encouraged field officers to conduct village-level outreach programs, helping farmers understand the benefits of PM-KISAN and facilitating registrations for those who are still excluded.
