3-day training session for entrepreneurs begins in Kargil.
District Industries Centre Kargil, in collaboration with the Quality Council of India (QCI), kick started a three-day training session aimed at empowering local entrepreneurs with the requirements of packaging (FSSR-2018) and labelling (FSSR-2020) for food commodities.
ACD Kargil, Padma Angmo, General Manager, DIC Kargil, Rehmatullah Batt and District Librarian Zahoor Ahmad were present and warmly welcomed by the QCI team members with traditional khataks.
The team members of QCI Abhishek, Project Analyst, Subah Tripathi, Project Coordinator and Reni, Expert Analyst provided insights into various aspects of entrepreneurship including importance of food packaging and labelling. She also highlighted the guidelines of FSSAI, importance of registration/licence with FSSAI.
Key highlights of the training session included interactive workshops, importance of food quality, standards of packaging and labelling for different food items.
Experts from DIC and QCI shared their expertise and best practices, offering invaluable guidance to participants seeking to establish and expand their ventures in the region. They said empowering local entrepreneurs is essential for the socio-economic development of Kargil.
The program was attended by 92 entrepreneurs and different SHG members came from different far-flung areas. They expressed gratitude for the opportunity to enhance their skills and network with fellow entrepreneurs.
The resource persons said Kargil continues to emerge as a hub of entrepreneurial activity and such initiatives play a pivotal role in nurturing talent, fostering innovation and driving economic growth.
