76th Republic Day Celebrated at Khaltse Sub-Division.
Khaltse, January 26, 2025: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at the New Stadium of Sub-Division Khaltse on January 26, 2025, with great enthusiasm, echoing the national spirit of the day.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khaltse, Mohd Sharief, unfurled the National Flag, followed by a rendition of the National Anthem by the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Khaltse. A Guard of Honour was presented by the Ladakh Police, Khaltse.
In his address, SDM Mohd Sharief remembered the immense sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. They gave up their comforts, endured suffering, and even laid down their lives to ensure that future generations could breathe the air of freedom.
The Parade Commander for the day was Assistant Sub-Inspector Mohd Hussain. Munsif Judge, Khaltse, Syed Tayoub Bukhari was also present as a distinguished guest at the event.
The marching contingent comprised students from Government Higher Secondary School Khaltse, Government Higher Secondary School Skurbuchan, Government High School Wanla, along with a band party from Govt. Hr. Sec. School Khaltse.
The cultural program featured performances by artists from Khaltse and Takmachik villages, as well as students from Government Higher Secondary Schools Khaltse, Skurbuchan, and Government High School Wanla.
At the conclusion of the program, SDM Khaltse distributed prizes to the participants, recognizing their efforts and contributions.
The event was also attended by Station House Officer (SHO) Khaltse, Jamyang Namgail, along with officers and officials from various departments of Sub-Division Khaltse, Venerable monks, Nambardars, and local villagers.
Similarly, the 76th Republic Day was also celebrated at Naibats Temisgam, Wanla, and Skurbuchan, where the respective Naib Tehsildars unfurled the National Flag. Naib Tehsildar Temisgam, Mohd Iqbal, unfurled the flag at Naibat Temisgam, Naib Tehsildar, Phuntsog Namgail at Naibat Wanla, and Naib Tehsildar, Abdul Samad at Naibat Skurbuchan.
