77th Republic Day Celebrated at Khaltse Sub-Division.
Khaltse, January 26, 2026:
The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at the SDM Stadium, Khaltse, in Sub-Division Khaltse on January 26, 2026, reflecting the true spirit of the nation.
Incharge Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Khaltse, Asgar Ali unfurled the National Flag, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem by students of Government Higher Secondary School, Khaltse. A Guard of Honour was presented by the Ladakh Police, Khaltse, and the Incharge SDM took the salute of the marching contingents.
On the occasion, Incharge SDM Asgar Ali extended heartfelt gratitude to all participants and highlighted the significance of Republic Day by recalling the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and emphasizing the importance of the Constitution. He also appreciated the achievements and dedicated efforts of various departments, particularly highlighting the successful implementation of the “Memangs-Si-Rjabstok” campaign, which was conducted in the Sub-Division in November 2025.
Munsiff Judge, Khaltse, Deldan Angmo graced the occasion as the distinguished guest.
The Parade Commander for the day was Sub-Inspector (SI) Skarma Angchuk. The marching contingents comprised students from Government Higher Secondary School, Khaltse; Government Higher Secondary School, Skurbuchan; Government High School, Wanla; along with the band party from Government Higher Secondary School, Khaltse.
The cultural programme featured vibrant performances by local artists from Khaltse village and students of Government Higher Secondary School, Khaltse; Government Higher Secondary School, Skurbuchan; and Government High School, Wanla. The celebration concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of the march-past and cultural performances.
The event was attended by Station House Officer (SHO), Khaltse, Jamyang Namgail, officers and officials from various departments of Sub-Division Khaltse, venerable monks, nambardars, and local villagers.
Similarly, the 77th Republic Day was also celebrated at Naibats Temisgam, Wanla, and Skurbuchan, where the respective Naib Tehsildars unfurled the National Flag followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. Naib Tehsildar Mohd Iqbal unfurled the National Flag at Naibat Temisgam, Naib Tehsildar Phuntsog Namgail at Naibat Wanla, and Naib Tehsildar Abdul Samad at Naibat Skurbuchan.
