    LEH, July 6, 2026: The 91st Birth Anniversary of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama was celebrated today with profound devotion, enthusiasm, and grand festivity at Jivetsal, Choglamsar, Leh.
    Organized by Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA), Leh, the momentous occasion drew thousands of devotees who gathered from across the region to offer prayers, celebrate the spiritual leader’s life, and seek his blessings.
    Addressing the massive gathering, His Holiness delivered an inspiring message on the transformative power of faith and compassion. He emphasized that deeply rooted spiritual and religious values are essential in helping individuals overcome greed, attachment, and other worldly afflictions, ultimately guiding humanity toward a more meaningful, harmonious, and peaceful existence.
    The high-profile celebration was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Chief Secretary UT Ladakh, Ashish Kundra, and Administrative Secretary Bhanu Prabha, alongside senior government officials, religious leaders, and community elders.
    As part of the proceedings, His Holiness presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Administrative Secretary Bhanu Prabha in recognition of her contributions toward strengthening and reforming the education sector in the Union Territory.
    The auspicious birthday celebrations were further enlivened by a series of vibrant cultural programs. Students from TCV Leh, alongside local Ladakhi and Tibetan community artists, showcased the region’s rich cultural heritage through traditional dances and musical numbers.
    The festivities concluded with a special theatrical performance of “Angulimala,” capping off a day filled with spiritual reverence, joy, and deep cultural pride.
