Departments to identify deliverables to be achieved during the new financial year- Advisor Ladakh.

Leh, April 04: Advisor Ladakh, Sh. Umang Narula today convened a meeting to review the preparation of SDP action plans by the departments. The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Commissioner/Secretary Sh. Saugat Biswas, Commissioner/ Secretary Ms. Padma Angmo, Secretary Sh. K.Mehboob Ali Khan and Secretary Sh. Ravinder Kumar.
Sh. Narula emphasised the immediate finalization of the CAPEX action plans and asked the departments to identify deliverables to be achieved during the financial year. It was informed that the Finance department has already released 100% funds to the departments for the approved action plans. The Advisor emphasised on careful identification of new projects in the action plans and all departments were asked to prioritize permanent restoration of infrastructure impacted by various disasters in the previous year.
Further, all Secretary’s were asked to focus on improvement of ease of living of citizens. The Information Technology Department was asked to plan for extensive use of information and communication technology for delivering e-enabled G2C services of various departments.
Sh. Narula also emphasised on saturating coverage of workers working in the informal sectors under the social security schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY).
The Planning Development and Monitoring Department was asked to undertake active appraisal and monitoring of major projects. Advisor also stressed on third party monitoring of important projects.
