ADC Kargil chairs preparatory meeting ahead of Incredible India Kargil Marathon, Kargil Ladakh Tourism Festival 2022

KARGIL, JULY 09, 2022: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil, Abdul Gaffar Zargar today convened a preparatory meeting with concerned departments to put in place prerequisite measures and to review arrangements for Incredible India Kargil Marathon and Kargil Ladakh Tourism Festival, 2022.
Chief Planning Officer Kargil, Executive Engineer R&B 2nd, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Deputy Secretary Cultural Academy, AD Tourism, Accounts Officer to DC, President All Kargil Tout and Travel Association (AKTTA), representatives of various cultural groups, horse polo, Archery besides other concerned officers were present during the meeting.
During the meeting, ADC Kargil took a detailed review of the preparations and enquired from the concerned officers about the arrangements and preparations made so for the conduct of Incredible India Kargil Marathon and celebration of Kargil Ladakh Tourism Festival.
The ADC directed the AD Tourism to prepare and furnish details of athletes scheduled to arrive for the marathon from different parts of the country in Kargil before July 16 to the president AKTTA, so that arrangements for their travel, lodging and boarding are made on time.
To promote and present the tradition and culture of Kargil district to outsiders, it was decided that wide range of cultural programs will be organized for which proper arrangements including itinerary and schedule should be put in place besides advance arrangements for travel, lodging and boarding of artists during the event.
Traditional food stalls will also be installed along with the display of traditional sports including horse polo and Archery sports for which the ADC directed concerned officers to make all necessary arrangements.
At the end, the ADC requested all the concerned officials to work in close coordination and make arrangements for the smooth and successful conduct of the two major events in the district.
