Young artists present creative gifts to CEC Feroz Khan ahead of Independence Day celebrations

KARGIL, AUGUST 12, 2022:
A group of young artists hailing from different areas of Kargil under the guidance of Sajjad Hussain Bob today called upon Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan at Council Secretariat and presented creative gifts to him as part of Independence Day celebrations.
The group was headed by Sajjad Hussain Bob, a teacher and mentor at Government High School Thasgam, Drass. The group had been taking an active part in learning different kinds of extracurricular activities like painting, photography etc.
The CEC also interacted with the teacher and the artist group and appreciated their creative artwork presented in the form of gifts.
The group of artists including students from different areas of Kargil requested the CEC for organizing an exposure tour for them to Leh district. CEC Khan gave them a patient hearing and assured that LAHDC Kargil will fully help the students in organizing the expose tour to Leh after August 15.
During the interaction, the CEC said that LAHDC Kargil is fully committed to uplift the education section in the district and has taken several measures in this regard.
The CEC also presented the coffee table book of the UT Administration Ladakh to them which features different aspects of the government in reaching out to people.
Khan wished the students a bright future ahead and advised them to study with hard work, dedication and commitment to bring laurels not only to Kargil but to while Ladakh region.
Later, the teacher and the artist group thanked the CEC for giving them an opportunity to interact with him and said that the interaction boosted their confidence.
