Physical Education Dept UoL organises Inter-Dept Volleyball Championship

Leh, Oct 13: Department of Physical Education and Sports, University of Ladakh, Leh campus organised an Inter-department volleyball championship on October 11 and 12 at the UoL campus, Taru, Leh.
A team of six departments, including both men’s and women’s categories, participated in the competition. The final matches of both men’s and women’s categories were held on Oct 12.
Dean of Research, University of Ladakh, Dr Sonam Joldan was present as a chief guest on the occasion. The faculties of various departments also graced the concluding ceremony.
In the women’s category, the final was played between Mathematics and Zoology departments in which the Mathematics department lifted the winner’s trophy. In the men’s category the final match was played between Mathematics and Geology versus Zoology and Commerce departments in which the Zoology and Commerce department lifted the winners’ trophy.
The best player in the women’s category was awarded to Pushpa D Budha of the Zoology department and in the men’s category, the best player was awarded to Stanzin Yountan of the Zoology department.
The event concluded with the distribution of trophies to the winners by the chief guest Dr Sonam Joldan.
