NHM Ladakh in collab with Jhpiego-India organises training under DAKSHATA

Leh, Oct 13: National Health Mission, UT Ladakh is organising a four-day long training program under DAKSHATA for Training of Trainers on technical update and skills standardization for maternal and newborn care at Leh from today in collaboration with resource persons from Johns Hopkins Program for International Education in Gynecology-India (Jhpiego-India).
DAKSHATA is an initiative under the National Health Mission to improve the quality of care during the intra and immediate postpartum period.
Jhpiego is a non-profit organization for international health affiliated with Johns Hopkins University.
The training program is exclusively for Gynecologists, Medical Officers, Nursing Supervisors and Labour room in-charges from both the districts of UT Ladakh.
Resource persons invited especially for the training program are Senior Gynecologist from Jhpiego Delhi, Dr Sunita Dhamija (MD); Senior Program Officer, Jhpiego, Rohan Sharma and Bhijali.
A total of 20 participants from both the districts of Leh and Kargil are taking part in the training program.
