2-day free eye cataract surgery camp concludes at CHC Sankoo 49 cataract, 10 pterygium cases operated

Kargil, Nov 18, 2022:
To reduce the backlog of cataract cases in the district, Health Department Kargil, Ladakh on organized a two-day free eye cataract surgery camp at CHC Sankoo in collaboration with Perfect Vision (Super Speciality Eye Hospital) Srinagar which concluded today.
Dr Omar Rashid, a renowned Phaco Surgeon and Corneal Surgeon of Perfect Vision and Consultant Ophthalmologist District Hospital Kargil, Dr Asiya Noor, a renowned Ophthalmologist participated in the camp. A total of 49 Cataract and 10 pterygium cases were operated during the camp.
People from all walks of life appreciated the Health Department Kargil and Perfect Vision (Super Speciality Eye Hospital) Srinagar for organizing such a camp for the poor patients of Kargil and for providing free eye surgeries at the doorsteps of patients.
It has been an immense relief for the eye patients belonging to weaker section of society. The camp was supervised by CMO Kargil, Dr. Munnawar Hussain Wazir accompanied by BMO Sankoo, Dr Ghulam Hussain.
