    LAACL Kargil organizes multi-lingual Natiya, Hamdiya Mushaira

    Kargil, April 08, 2022: Ladakh Academy of Art Culture and Language (LAACL) Kargil today organized a multi-lingual Natiya/ Hamdiya Mushaira at Cultural Academy Hall Kargil in which poets presented their verses in Purgi, Shina, Balti, Urdu, Ladakhi and Aryen.
    On the occasion, Padma Shri Awardee, Akhone Asgar Ali Basharat was the chief guest, Aga Syed Hadi Shah was the Sader-e-Mehfil, State Awardee Gh. Ahmed Khan Jawan was the special guest, OSD to Secretary Culture and Tourism, Ali Muhammad Tak, poets of various languages and others attended the Mushaira.
    Muhammad Ali Tak in his welcome speech highlighted the importance of poetry in preserving and promoting vernacular languages.
    He said LAACL Kargil is committed to provide ample platform to local artists, writers and poets adding that a slew of cultural and literary activities are being planned this year.
    On the occasion Sadre-e-Mehfil, Aga Syed Hadi Shah thanked the LAACL Kargil for organizing the event for the local poets. He praised the diversity of the languages and the unity among people in the district.
    During the event, poets from different languages beautifully reflected the blessings of the Holy Month of Ramadan. They preached tolerance, self-control, humility and similar other virtues that take the humans in close proximity with the Supreme Being in their poems.
    Sajad Ali Shujaat moderated the program. In the end, the Cultural Assistant, Ghulam Abass Skit presented the vote of thanks.
