ADC Kargil visits flood prone areas of Sankoo.

Kargil, June 20, 2023:
On the direction of Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani today visited flood prone areas of Sankoo Sub-Division which include Chechesna, Thangra and Stakpa villages.
He was accompanied by SDM Sankoo, Naib Tehsildar, Sankoo, Executive Engineer Mechanical, Engineers and representatives of the Mechanical Department and NHIDCL.
The ADC directed the concerned departments to keep the machinery and manpower on ready mode in view of chances of floods. He directed the concerned officers for cleaning of streams so that the blockage can be reduced to avoid flash floods in the flood prone areas.
As the temperature has risen, the water level of streams in the district Kargil has been increased due to the melting of snow.
