Hon’ble Lt. Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) chairs meeting to discuss the management issues at DPS, Leh.

Leh, July 21, 2023: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), chaired a meeting to discuss the management issues at Delhi Public School (DPS), Leh with the concerned officials at Raj Niwas.
Various topics, viz. the discrimination between local and non-local teaching staff, the canteen at the school, the parent- teacher meeting and the fee structure of the school were discussed in the meeting.
Director DPS Leh, Maj Gen Mohinder Kumar Sagoch (Retd), apprised the HLG of his joining as the Director of the School two months ago. He informed that the Principal of the School is also new. He briefed about the status of the management of the school and refuted the allegations of any discrimination among the staff. He also informed about steps taken by the management to improve the school canteen.
Stating that the fee charged by the school is nominal, the Director informed that the parent-teacher meeting was also held recently and the parents expressed satisfaction over the management of the school. The Director assured the HLG to improve facilities in the school.
The HLG broached to the visiting persons from DPS to consider organising an open management, teachers, parents, citizens and media to resolve all the issues incorporating feedback from all stakeholders. He also directed Deputy Commissioner, Leh to attend the meeting.
