His Eminence Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche receives grand welcome in Zanskar.

Kargil, July 27, 2023: His Eminence Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche on Wednesday visited Duzin Phodang, accompanied by the mummified Holy Body of the late His Eminence Geshe Lharanpa Lobsang Chultrim. The esteemed Rinpoche received a warm and traditional welcome from the monks of various Gonpas in Zanskar and devoted followers.
Member, National Commission for Minorities (NCM), Govt. of India Rinchen Lhamo, Executive Councilor, Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affairs Er Phunchok Tashi, Member of minority of Buddhist Community/Nominated Councilor LAHDC, Leh, Konchok Tsephel, Councilors, SDM Zanskar and thousands of devotees were also presented.
His Eminence Kundeling Rinpoche bestowed a profound long-life empowerment sermon upon the gathered devotees. Following this, Rinchen Lahmo, the Member of the National Commission for Minorities (NCM), paid a visit to Sani Monastery.
The Member NCM also presided over two meetings at the TRC meeting hall. These meetings involved religious leaders from the Buddhist and Muslim communities, along with Councilors, PRI members, and Lambardars of Zanskar.
During the meeting, all stakeholders engaged in discussions regarding the functioning of various departments, such as medical, social welfare, and education.
During the meeting, several critical issues were discussed, including the urgent requirement of a gynaecologist, the need for Bhoti teachers, the appointment of a social welfare officer, concerns about debris falling from prayer walls during road constructions, and the necessity of air-lifting patients from Zanskar to Kargil or Leh, among other matters.
Rinchen Lhamo assured that all the raised issues would be promptly taken up with the relevant departments/Ministry. Additionally, she informed the delegations about the ongoing developments, notably the construction of NH 301, which is currently in full swing.
The meeting was attended by Member of Minority of Buddhist Community/Nominated Councilor LAHDC, Leh, Konchok Tsephel, Councilor Cha, Stanzin Lakpa, Nominated Councilor Stanzin Chosgyal, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Zanskar, Sonam Dorjay.
