Sushil Chaudhary, Motup Goba & Rakesh Joshi call on Hon’ble Lt Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd).

Leh, August 01, 2023: Founder and CEO of Picturetime Digiplex, Shri Sushil Chaudhary, called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at Raj Niwas.
Shri Sushil apprised HLG of the 1st Ladakh International Music Festival jointly organised by Picturetime in collaboration with Indian Army and composer Joi Barua in Leh last year. He also apprised HLG of the plan to organise a high-altitude drone racing league in Ladakh due to the challenging terrain of the region. He informed that drone companies from different parts of the world will fly their drones in Ladakh and show the method of manning drones in challenging conditions and terrain of Ladakh. Shri Chaudhary requested for land to set up the Drone Centre in Ladakh.
Shri Chaudhary informed about the Ladakh Art and Entertainment Alliance and the fashion show to be held at Umling La, the world’s highest motorable road, in the last week of August. He also informed that Miss Earth and Miss World from different parts of the world will take part in the event. He further informed that the participants will be accommodated in homestays in different villages of Ladakh to promote responsible sustainable tourism in Ladakh.
The HLG asked Shri Chaudhary to submit a proposal for further examination and meet him again for further discussion on the subject.
A delegation comprising members of Ladakh Amateur Boxing Association led by its President Sh. Chewang Motup Goba called on HLG at Raj Niwas. Secretary, Sports, Ladakh, Sh. Ravinder Kumar, IAS was also present in the meeting.
President Sh. Goba apprised the HLG about the association which is formed in 2019 and requested the HLG regarding formation of Khelo India Small Centre (Boxing) in Leh, appointment of coaches , financial assistance for purchase of the boxing equipment, financial assistance for a player participate in national level competition.
The HLG appreciated the delegates for their contribution in boxing and suggested to meet the Chairman, LAHDC, Leh in this regard. The HLG felicitated Villayat Ali, who won the silver medal in 05th Junior Boys National Boxing Championship 2023 at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
A delegation of HDFC Bank led by its Circle Head – Senior Vice President, HDFC Bank, Sh. Rakesh Joshi called on the HLG at Raj Niwas. Secretary to HLG, Sh. Ravinder Kumar, IAS was also present in the meeting.
Sh. Joshi apprised the HLG about the bank’s initiatives like plan for support the start-up initiative towards the youth, motivational or innovative program for the youths, scholarship for below poverty line candidates, providing of computers to school going kids and bank’s expansion in the region.
Appreciating their contributions for the welfare of the people of Ladakh, the HLG said that awareness programs should organise to aware the masses about evaluation of the business module, interact with the students at college level regarding the entrepreneur or start up. The HLG stated that the bank needed to promote digital payment among the people of Ladakh and maximum opening of accounts of females above 18 years in rural areas in the region.
The HLG suggested Sh. Joshi to discuss the proposals with the Secretary to HLG, Sh. Ravinder Kumar, IAS.
