    Hon’ble Lt Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) presides over Passing Out Parade of 141 Agniveer recruits of LSRC as Reviewing Officer.

    Leh, Aug 04, 2023: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) presided over the Passing Out Parade of the first batch of 141 Agniveer recruits at Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre (LSRC) as the Reviewing Officer.
    The HLG reviewed the parade and took salute of the march past of various contingents of Agniveers of LSRC. He awarded seven young Agniveer recruits with medals for their outstanding performance during the training. He also presented Gaurav Padak to parents (serving and ex-servicemen) whose wards have joined LSRC as Agniveer recruits.
    Congratulating the Agniveer recruits for their impressive parade and also the parade commander and all the seven young soldiers who were awarded medals for their outstanding performance based on their merit, the HLG expressed hope that these young soldiers will give exemplary performances when they join LSRC. Stating that the Agnipath scheme was conceived by the apex leadership of India to keep the nation’s as well as the youth’s welfare in mind, the HLG stated that the Agniveer recruits must be ready to sacrifice their lives for national security and integrity. Emphasising the need to dedicate lives for ‘Naam, Namak and Nishan,’ the HLG stated that the jawans must be ready to serve on land, air and water without fearing for their lives and instead prepare themselves to serve the nation’s interest.
    The HLG commended the LSRC personnel for their outstanding performance and praised their exceptional valour and sacrifice while upholding the sovereignty of the nation. He stated that the motto of the Agniveer recruits after their passing out parade should be working for the country’s welfare with full patriotism/nationalism. He hoped the young Agniveer recruits would not bring laurels to their family members and Ladakh but to the entire nation.
    Chief of Staff, Fire and Fury Corps, Major General Manjeet Singh Mokha; GOC Sub Area, Fire and Fury Corps, Leh, Major General, SS Bakshi; Commandant, LSRC, Col RS Parihar; officials from armed forces; retired army officials/ex-serviceman and parents/relatives of the Agniveer recruits were present in the passing out parade ceremony.
