SKUAST-K hands over technologies on cucumber & broccoli cultivating handed over to Agri Dept Ladakh.

Leh, 04 August: SKUAST-K High Mountain Arid Agriculture Research Institute (HIMAARI) Leh transferred two technologies – cultivation of greenhouse cucumber in Ladakh and technology for extended season of broccoli cultivation – to the Department of Agriculture, UT Ladakh for their horizontal expansion and commercialization.
A document was handed over to Secretary (Agriculture) UT Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar by Associate Director HMAARI SKUAST-K Leh, Dr. Dorjay Namgyal in presence of Chief Agriculture Officer, Leh and scientists of SKUAST-K Leh.
Both the technologies have been generated, tested and validated for 3-5 years by SKUAST_K & now ready for adoption at a commercial scale in both Leh and Kargil districts.
